Creating Basic Reports in Crosstabs

The report example in this topic provides the instructions listed in the following table.

To create a basic report:

  1. To add Measures, from Hidden Fields (2), click the plus sign at Measures and do the following:

  3. To view only specific months, next to Month Name at Drop Row Fields Here (11), click the blue funnel icon.

    The Month Name dropdown list opens.

  4. Deselect Show All, then select the months you want. For example, select 2015 January, February, March, and April.
  5. To select specific model types, next to Model Type at Drop Row Fields Here (11), click the blue funnel icon.
    The Model Type dropdown list opens.

  6. Deselect Show All and select Hybrid.
    The report looks like this:

  7. To include the month information you selected in Step 4, click the expand arrows at Hybrid.


    The month information is shown for Hybrids.

    The month information did not display in Step 4 when you selected specific months. The system might have thousands of record and doesn't display all the available records. However, when you clicked the at Hybrid, the system then displayed the month information specific month information for Hybrid.
  8. To included Non-Hybrid information, next to Model Type, at Drop Row Fields Here (11), click the blue funnel icon.
    The Model Type dropdown list opens.
  9. Select Non-Hybrid.
    The month information is shown for Non-Hybrids .

  10. To remove specific data from view, for example, Non-Hybrid information, right-click anywhere within the Non-Hybrid cell.
    The menu opens.

  11. Click Collapse.
    The Non-Hybrid information is no longer displayed.
  12. To remove all Hybrid and Non-Hybrid month records from view, right-click anywhere within one of the Hybrid or Non-Hybrid cells, and then click Collapse All.
    The month information is removed from view and the report looks like this:

  13. To view the monthly Hybrid and Non-Hybrid records again, right-click and select Expand All.
    The month records are shown as in Step 9.
  14. To add a column to the report, for example, Channel, at Hidden Fields (2), click the plus sign at Channel, and then drag Channel to Column Area (4). The Phone and Web columns are added and the report looks like this:  
  15. To enlarge your view of the report so you see only the data, click Hide Customization Panel (1).

    The column on the far left that includes Hidden Fields (2) is removed from view and only the report data is displayed.
  16. To view the panel again, click Show Customization Panel (1).  
  17. To save the report, enter a report name and click the Save icon.  
  18. To download the report, do either of the following:
  19. To view a report you have already saved, click the down arrow next to the Save icon   and then select the report you want to view.
    You can view only the reports you have previously saved. You cannot view a report saved by another viewer.  
  20. To create a new report, click .
    All Measures and Dimensions data are removed from the report area.
